Selection process
- 1No Written Test or Interview will be conducted.
- 2Candidates must be registered on NAPS/NATS portal and apply against the notification to be considered for selection.
- 3A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks secured in the prescribed qualification for the respective post.
- 4In case of a tie in percentage of marks, the candidate with an earlier date of birth (older in age) will be given preference.
- 5In case of the same date of birth, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation will be preferred.
- 6Preference will be given to candidates applying for Apprenticeship training for the first time.
- 7Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
- 8Candidates must complete a Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test as per IndianOil’s medical standards. Up to ₹3,000/- will be reimbursed for medical test expenses on production of receipts.
- 9Candidates successfully qualifying Document Verification and Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness will be issued an Offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training.

How to apply
- Register on the appropriate portal: NAPS (http://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/) for Trade Apprentices (ITI & Data Entry Operator) or NATS (https://nats.education.gov.in/student_register.php) for Technician and Graduate Apprentices.
- Ensure 100% completion/updation of your profile (Personal Details, Educational Details, Category, Aggregate Percentage) on the respective portal.
- Login to the respective NATS/NAPS portal using your User ID/Email ID and apply for the apprenticeship openings using the Establishment ID: NATS – NDLSDC000005 / NAPS – E05200700003.
- After applying on the NATS/NAPS portal, also submit your details along with preferred State and three preferred locations in the Microsoft Office Form at: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/pw7D2cUK7c by 06.09.2026, 05:00 PM.
- Candidates can apply for ONLY ONE DISCIPLINE CODE. Multiple discipline code applications will be summarily rejected.
- Ensure you have a valid PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, active Aadhaar-seeded bank account enabled for DBT, and APAAR ID updated on NATS portal.
- Applications must be submitted on or before 06th September 2026 at 05:00 PM. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
Documents and additional conditions
Period of Apprenticeship Training: 12 months for all disciplines. Stipend: As per Apprentices Act, 1961 + ₹2,500/month miscellaneous expenses from IOCL (MD) NR. Graduate and Technician Apprentices receive a portion via DBT through BOAT (NATS). Trade Apprentices (NAPS) receive full stipend from IOCL. No Employment Guarantee: Upon completion of apprenticeship, IOCL has NO obligation to offer regular employment. Apprentices cannot claim employment rights on grounds of completion of apprenticeship. Eligibility Restrictions: Candidates with higher qualifications (B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent) are NOT eligible. Diploma/Vocational Certificate holders with 1+ year job experience after qualification are NOT eligible. Candidates who have completed 5 years after acquiring prescribed qualification as on 31.08.2026 are NOT eligible. Maximum Two Apprenticeships: A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings; the second shall not be in the same trade, with a minimum one-year gap between them. PwBD: PwBD candidates are NOT eligible for Discipline Codes 101-111 (Technical trades). PwBD reservation applies horizontally for Discipline Codes 112, 113, and 114. Minimum 40% disability certificate required. Single Discipline Application: Candidates can apply for ONLY ONE DISCIPLINE CODE. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected. OBC-NCL Certificate: Must be issued on or after 01.09.2025 (not more than 12 months old as on cut-off date 31.08.2026). Establishment IDs: NATS – NDLSDC000005 | NAPS – E05200700003. Medical Reimbursement: Up to ₹3,000/- reimbursed for pre-engagement medical test expenses on production of receipts.
