- 2Shortlisting (Bonus Marks): Applications are shortlisted based on bonus marks out of 100: NCC ‘C’ Certificate Performance (Max 50 marks): A Grade = 50 marks, B Grade = 25 marks. Graduation Performance (Max 50 marks): Up to 60% = Nil
- 360–64.99% = 5
- 465–69.99% = 10
- 570–74.99% = 20
- 675–79.99% = 30
- 780–84.99% = 40
- 885–100% = 50 marks. Shortlisting is tentatively in the first week of September 2026.
- 9NCC ‘C’ Certificate Performance (Max 50 marks): A Grade = 50 marks, B Grade = 25 marks.
- 10Graduation Performance (Max 50 marks): Up to 60% = Nil
- 1185–100% = 50 marks.
- 12SSB Centre & Date Selection: Shortlisted candidates select SSB centre and date online (first come, first served basis) during a 14-day window in September 2026.
- 13SSB Interview (5 Days): Conducted at Selection Centres in Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (Punjab) tentatively in November/December 2026. Two-stage process: Stage I (screening) and Stage II (assessment). Candidates failing Stage I are returned on Day 1.
- 14Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after Stage II undergo medical examination. SSB medical validity is 270 days (SMB to PCTA joining date).
- 15Merit List: Prepared based on SSB marks. Tie-breaking: older candidate ranked higher; if age also equal, higher percentage in qualifying exam ranks higher.
- 16Joining Letter: Issued to medically fit candidates in merit order, subject to vacancies and eligibility criteria. Joining for Pre-Commission Training at OTA, Chennai from April 2027.

- Click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (skip if already registered).
- Fill the online registration form carefully after reading all instructions.
- After registration, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard.
- On the ‘Officers Selection – Eligibility’ page, click ‘Apply’ against ‘Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course’.
- Fill in all required details under various segments: Personal Information, Communication Details, Education Details, and Previous SSB Details.
- Click ‘Save & Continue’ after each segment before proceeding to the next.
- After filling the last segment, review the ‘Summary of your information’ page and edit if necessary.
- Click ‘Submit’ only after confirming all details are correct.
- Take out two copies of the application with Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of online application on the last day.
- Note: CGPA/Grades must be converted to marks as per the university formula before filling the online application.
- Candidates must submit only one online application; multiple applications will result in cancellation of candidature.

Other Important Information: Type of Commission: Short Service Commission (Non-Technical) – NCC Special Entry Scheme, 125th Course (April 2027). Gender: Unmarried Males only (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel). Nationality: Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal, or persons of Indian origin from specified countries with intention to permanently settle in India (with eligibility certificate from Government of India where applicable). Gorkha subjects of Nepal do not require eligibility certificate. NCC Service Requirement: Minimum 2/3 years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wing of NCC. Minimum ‘B’ Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate Exam. Provisional NCC ‘C’ Certificate NOT accepted at SSB. Training: 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai from April 2027. Stipend during training: ₹56,100/- per month. Successful candidates awarded ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies’ by University of Madras. Rank on Commissioning: Lieutenant (Level 10, ₹56,100–₹1,77,500). Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/- per month (Lieutenant to Brigadier). Tenure: 10 years (extendable by 4 years). Option for Permanent Commission after 10 years. Special provision for release after 5 years of service. Release Options: After 5 years, 10 years, or 14 years of service. Reserve Liability: 5 years + 2 years voluntary, or up to age 40 (whichever is earlier) after release. Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF): Insurance of ₹1.25 Crore during training. Monthly subscription: ₹12,500/-. Minimum Physical Standards (before joining OTA): 2.4 km run in 10 min 30 sec; 30 Push-ups; 40 Pull-ups; 6 Sit-ups; 2 sets of 30 Squats; 2 sets of 10 Lunges; Basic swimming knowledge. Travelling Allowance: AC 3-Tier (to and fro) railway/bus fare for first-time SSB appearance for this type of commission. Important Restrictions: No marriage during training period. Candidates must not have been arrested/convicted by a criminal court. Candidates debarred by UPSC or withdrawn from NDA/IMA/OTA/Naval/Air Force Academy on disciplinary grounds are NOT eligible. Documents Required at SSB: Application printout, Matriculation certificate & marksheet, 12th certificate & marksheet, Graduation degree/provisional degree, All semester marksheets, NCC ‘C’ Certificate (not required for Wards of Battle Casualties), CGPA conversion certificate (if applicable), and additional documents for Wards of Battle Casualties. DIGILOCKER certificates NOT accepted in lieu of originals. Note: Candidates can appear for ONLY ONE SSB interview – either as SSC (NT) (Men)-125 CDSE candidate OR NCC (Spl) Entry-125 Course (Men) (April 2027). English version of notification prevails in case of any discrepancy between English and Hindi versions.
