Selection process
- 1Interview Only: Candidates with B.E/B.Tech with a valid GATE Score, M.E/M.Tech from IIT/NIT, or B.Sc+M.Sc with a valid GATE/NET Score will be directly called for Interview.
- 2Written Test followed by Interview: Candidates with B.E/B.Tech + M.E/M.Tech, B.E/B.Tech with 2 years relevant experience, B.Sc+M.Sc with 2 years relevant experience, or B.E/B.Tech only will be shortlisted through a Written Test followed by Interview.
- 3The Written Test will have the same syllabus as GATE and will have negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates must bring a Scientific Calculator for the written test.
- 4The Written Test and Interview will be conducted in Bangalore. Tentative dates for the written test are 16th August 2026, 23rd August 2026, or 30th August 2026.
- 5Final dates for Written Test and Interviews will be published on the ADA website based on the number of registered candidates.

How to apply
- Visit the official ADA website at https://ada.gov.in and register online before 13th August 2026 by 1700 hrs.
- Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form as per the format provided in the advertisement.
- Affix a recent passport size photograph on the right top corner of the first page of the application form.
- Attach self-attested copies of certificates/supporting documents related to qualification, experience, and caste.
- If any documents/certificates are in a language other than English, attach a duly self-attested transcript in English.
- Report for the Written Test/Interview at the designated venue in Bangalore on the date published on the ADA website, along with the duly filled application form and all original certificates for verification.
- Candidates presently employed in Government departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.
- Carry Aadhar Card in original.
Documents and additional conditions
Only Indian Nationals can apply. The engagement is on Tenure basis — initially for two years, extendable for a further two years (one year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance assessed by a Review Committee. The engagement confers no rights for continuation beyond tenure, absorption, or regularization in ADA. ADA reserves the right to operate the panel flexibly between different disciplines for available and anticipated vacancies for a period of six months. The date for determining qualification and age is the closing date of registration: 13th August 2026. Candidates presently employed in Government departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview. Candidates must bring their Aadhar Card in original. Electronic items such as Mobile Phones, Pen Drives, Smart Watches, etc. are strictly prohibited inside the ADA campus/venue for the written test. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the Interview/Written Test, irrespective of selection. Part-time experience, Apprenticeship training, Period of training, Teaching Experience, or experience as a trainee will NOT be considered for calculation of years of experience. Misrepresentation or falsification of facts at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature and may lead to legal action. Only registered candidates will be permitted to appear for the Written Test/Interview. Registration is not the application but is necessary for logistics planning.
