Selection process
- 1Selection will be based on merit in the qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Graduation as applicable).
- 2Verification of credentials shall be done for selected candidates prior to creation of contract.
- 3In case of any deviation or non-conformity with the desired qualification, candidature shall be summarily rejected.
- 4Selected candidates have to submit a ‘Police Verification Certificate’ after joining.
- 5All correspondence including the offer letter (if selected) shall be done through E-mail only.

How to apply
- Candidates must register at https://nats.education.gov.in (for Diploma and Graduate candidates) or https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (for ITI candidates) before applying.
- Download and fill the application form as per the advertisement.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents including educational certificates, NATS/NAPS enrolment proof, category certificate (if applicable), and a recent passport-size photograph.
- Send the duly filled application form by POST to: Director SSPL, Kind Attention: HRD, SSPL, DRDO, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi – 110054.
- The application must reach on or before 21 August 2026.
- Ensure all eligibility criteria are met before applying. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification.
Documents and additional conditions
The training period will be 12 months commencing from execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories will be applicable as per the Apprentice Act 1961, Apprentice Rules 1992, and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2015. Candidates who passed their qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible. Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible. SSPL is not obligated to offer employment to any apprentice after completion of training. Apprentices will not be provided any Government quarters/hostel accommodation/transport during the training period. SSPL reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats and to withdraw/cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason. Any canvassing or personal follow-up to influence the selection process will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
