- 2Principal/Director of Institution should provide a request letter for highly deserving meritorious students only.
- 3Age Limit: Below 28 Years.
- 4Eligible candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of Interaction/Interview and percentage of marks. CGPA to be converted to percentage (average of completed semesters/years).
- 5Shortlisted students will be notified about joining procedures, undertaking forms, and indemnity bond via phone and DRDO website.
- 6Shortlisted candidates are required to bring a Character Certificate from their College as well as a Police Verification Certificate.
- 7Selection will be based entirely on merit. No communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates.

How to apply
- Candidates must be pursuing UG Engineering (Final Year) or PG Engineering/Physical Science (Final Year) from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Obtain a referral/request letter from the Principal/Director of the Institution (mandatory).
- Fill the application form as per the prescribed format on college letterhead.
- Forward the scanned copy of the application to drdlintern2026@gmail.com.
- Submit the application in an envelope at the registration desk during walk-in-interview, clearly writing ‘Application for Paid Internship’ and the Branch Code on the envelope.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified about joining procedures, undertaking forms, and indemnity bond details via phone and DRDO website.
- At the time of joining, submit all required documents including NOC from college, police verification certificate, Aadhar card, college ID, passport size photographs, medical fitness certificate, and all previous semester mark sheets.
Documents and additional conditions
Internship Duration: 6 months (01 Sep 2026 to 28 Feb 2027). Stipend Payment: Rs. 5,000/- per month, paid in two installments. First installment after 3 months of training. Stipend is applicable only if the student has good performance and completes a minimum of 15 working days per month of physical attendance at DRDL/ASL/CAS. Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Selected candidates can avail lunch, tea, snacks, etc. at subsidized rates at DRDL/ASL/CAS wet canteen. Completion Certificate: Issued after successful completion of 6 months, clearing project evaluation, and submission of project report. No Employment Obligation: DRDL/ASL/CAS shall have no obligation to offer employment to interns, nor can an intern claim a right for employment on completion of internship. Incomplete Internship: If a student leaves before completing the internship, no Completion Certificate will be issued. No payment will be made if a student does not complete a minimum tenure of 3 months. Documents Required at Joining: NOC from college (original), Police Verification Certificate, Undertaking for Indian Official Secrets Act 1923, Undertaking for IT rules (Ministry of Defence), Bank details, Medical Fitness Certificate (MBBS or above), Aadhar Card (original), College ID, 3 passport size photographs, all previous semester mark sheets (original for verification).
