Selection process
- 1Online Preliminary Examination (Objective Test): English Language (30 questions, 30 marks, 20 min), Numerical Ability (35 questions, 35 marks, 20 min), Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks, 20 min). Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes. Candidates must qualify each section with cut-off marks decided by IBPS.
- 2Online Main Examination (Objective Test): General/Financial Awareness (40 questions, 50 marks, 20 min), General English (40 questions, 40 marks, 35 min), Reasoning Ability (40 questions, 60 marks, 35 min), Quantitative Aptitude (40 questions, 50 marks, 35 min). Total: 160 questions, 200 marks, 125 minutes. Marks converted out of 100 for provisional allotment.
- 3Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Conducted after Online Main Examination/Provisional Allotment but before joining. Marks-based and qualifying in nature. Candidates who fail will not be offered appointment.
- 4Provisional Allotment: Based on merit-cum-preference, state/UT-wise vacancies, and Government reservation guidelines for financial year 2027-28.
- 5Penalty for Wrong Answers: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main examinations. No penalty for unattempted questions.
- 6Scores Normalization: Corrected scores normalized using equi-percentile method if multiple sessions are held. Scores up to two decimal points considered.

How to apply
- Visit the official IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP CSA”.
- Click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- Customer Service Associates (CRP-CSA-XVI)” to open the Online Application Form.
- Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register by entering basic information. Note the Provisional Registration Number and Password generated.
- Upload required documents: Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Hand Written Declaration, SSC/SSLC/10th Standard Certificate, and certificate as mentioned in Clause K(ix) if applicable.
- Capture and upload live photograph through webcam or mobile phone during registration.
- Carefully fill in all details including State/UT preference for provisional allotment (irrevocable option).
- Use “SAVE AND NEXT” to verify details before final submission. No change is permitted after clicking “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
- Pay the application fee online using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets/UPI.
- On successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated. Take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form.
- Retain the Registration Number and Password for future reference. Do not send the printout to IBPS/Banks.

Reservation: SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines. EWS family gross annual income below Rs. 8 lakh; various asset exclusions apply. PwBD Categories: OC/Locomotor Disability (OA, OL, BL, BA, Leprosy Cured, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims, Spinal Deformity/Injury), Visual Impairment (Blindness, Low Vision), Hearing Impaired (Deaf, Hard of Hearing), Intellectual Disability (ASD-Mild, SLD, MI, Multiple Disabilities). Minimum 40% benchmark disability required for reservation. Scribe Facility: Available for eligible PwBD/PwSD candidates. Candidate must arrange own scribe at own cost. Scribe must not be a CRP CSA-XVI candidate. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour for eligible candidates. State/UT Application: Candidates can apply for vacancies in only ONE State/UT. Option once exercised is irrevocable. Edit Window: 2 days after closure of registration. Correction fee Rs. 200/- (inclusive of GST) applicable uniformly. Fields like Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, State/UT, Post, Nationality cannot be edited. Reserve List: Approximately 30% of vacancies under each category may be kept as reserve list. Reserve list expires one year after date of Provisional Allotment or until fresh allotment, whichever is earlier. Validity of CRP CSA-XVI: Automatically expires one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier. Identity Verification: Biometric (Right thumb impression) and photograph verification at various stages. Valid Aadhaar card advised. Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising out of this notification shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of Courts situated at Mumbai. Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024: Applicable. All offences are cognizable, non-bailable and non-compoundable. Pre-Examination Training (PET): May be arranged online for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Communities/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD candidates. Attending PET does not guarantee selection. Documents Required at Joining: Online application printout, Date of Birth proof, Photo ID, Graduation mark-sheets/certificates, Local language certificate (if applicable), Caste/Category certificates, Disability certificate (if applicable), Ex-Servicemen certificates (if applicable), No Objection Certificate (if employed in Govt./PSU), and other relevant documents.
