- 1Written Examination (LST26): Objective type written test consisting of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark. Total duration: 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM).
- 2Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks for unattempted questions.
- 3OMR Sheet: Answers to be marked using blue/black ball-point pen on OMR sheet.
- 4Document Verification & Appointment: Conducted by the appointing authority (not CGSSB). All certificates (caste, DOB, domicile, educational qualification, disability, ex-serviceman, etc.) will be verified at the time of appointment.
- 5Result: Declared based on information filled in the online application form as per departmental rules.

- Complete Profile Registration (Panjikaran) on the portal with your personal details, photo (.jpg/.jpeg, 50kb–100kb) and signature (.jpg/.jpeg, 50kb–100kb).
- After profile registration, apply for the specific examination (LST26) without re-entering personal details.
- Fill in the online application form carefully as per departmental eligibility rules.
- Pay the prescribed examination fee online.
- After successful fee payment, click the ‘SUBMIT’ button to submit the application.
- Take a printout of the submitted online application form and keep it safe.
- Error correction (Truti Sudhar) can be done within 3 days after the last date of application (03.09.2026 to 05.09.2026 up to 5:00 PM).
Documents and additional conditions
Other Important Information: Exam Centers: Located in 16 district headquarters across Chhattisgarh. Admit Card: Will be uploaded on the CGSSB website approximately 7 days before the exam (tentatively 19.10.2026). Candidates must download and print the admit card. Admit cards will NOT be sent by post. Identity Proof: Candidates must bring original photo ID (Voter ID / Driving License / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card) on exam day. Entry will be denied without original ID. Exam Day Instructions: Report at least 2 hours before exam start time. Main gate closes 30 minutes before exam start (i.e., 9:30 AM). Wear light-colored, half-sleeve clothes. Dark colors (black, dark blue, dark green, purple, maroon, dark chocolate) are prohibited. Wear slippers/sandals as footwear. No jewelry in ears. No electronic devices, communication devices, electronic watches, purse, pouch, scarf, belt, cap, etc. allowed in exam hall. Candidates cannot leave the exam hall during the first 30 minutes and last 30 minutes of the exam. Candidates with religious/cultural attire must report earlier for additional security check. Fee Refund: Local residents of Chhattisgarh who appear in the exam will get their exam fee refunded to the same bank account used for payment, after result declaration. Objection/Claim: Candidates can raise objections on model answers online within the stipulated period by paying Rs. 50/- per question. Objections via post/email or in-person will not be accepted. Deleted Questions: If a question is found erroneous (wrong structure, no correct option, Hindi-English discrepancy, printing error), it will be deleted and all candidates will receive bonus marks equal to the marks allotted to that question. No Re-evaluation: OMR sheets are evaluated by machine; re-evaluation/recounting is not available. Jurisdiction: CGSSB’s responsibility is limited to conducting the exam and declaring results. Document verification, selection, and appointment are done by the concerned department.
