  1. 1Manager (System): Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written examination (Objective type, 110 questions, 220 marks, duration 2.5 hours).
  2. 2Senior Programmer: Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written examination (Objective type, 85 questions, 170 marks, duration 2 hours).
  3. 3Programmer Grade-2: Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written examination (Objective type, 85 questions, 170 marks, duration 2 hours).
  4. 4Computer Operator Grade-B: Selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in the written examination (Objective type, 85 questions, 170 marks, duration 2 hours) AND Hindi & English Type Test (Hindi typing: 25 words/min, English typing: 40 words/min
  5. 555 marks total). Grand total: 225 marks.
  6. 6Negative Marking: 1/3 (0.33) marks deducted for each wrong answer in objective type papers.
  7. 7Minimum Efficiency Standard: SC/ST candidates must score at least 35%; all other categories must score at least 40%.

How to apply

  1. Candidates must complete One Time Registration (O.T.R.) at https://otr.pariksha.nic.in and obtain an O.T.R. number at least 72 hours before submitting the online application.
  2. Visit the official website https://uppsc.up.nic.in and click on ‘ALL NOTIFICATIONS/ADVERTISEMENTS’ then ‘ONLINE ADVERTISEMENTS’.
  3. Click on ‘Apply’ for the desired post. Authenticate using O.T.R. number via OTP or O.T.R. password.
  4. Complete First Stage: Authenticate with O.T.R. All personal details will be auto-populated. Fill in essential qualification details.
  5. Complete Second Stage: Fill in permanent and correspondence address and preferential qualifications via ‘Application Part-2’ on the Applicant Dashboard.
  6. Complete Third Stage: Pay the examination fee through SBI MOPS via Net Banking, Card Payments, or Other Payment Modes. Take a printout of the Payment Transaction Slip.
  7. Complete Fourth Stage: Take a printout of the final submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  8. In case of any modification in qualification, use ‘Candidate Dashboard Login’ to modify only once before the last date for correction/modification.
