- 1Written Examination (Objective Type): Selection will be made through a written examination conducted either in OMR-based Offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. Paper-I: General Studies and General Abilities – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks (Bilingual: English & Telugu) Paper-II: Subject Concerned (Common Syllabus – P.G. Level) – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks (English Only) Total: 300 Marks
- 2Paper-I: General Studies and General Abilities – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks (Bilingual: English & Telugu)
- 3Paper-II: Subject Concerned (Common Syllabus – P.G. Level) – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks (English Only)
- 4Total: 300 Marks
- 5Qualifying Marks: OC, Sportspersons & EWS – minimum 40%
- 6BCs – minimum 35%
- 7SCs, STs & PHs – minimum 30%.
- 8Merit List: Candidates will be selected in order of merit as per their rank in the merit list against available vacancies.
- 9Tie-breaking: In case of equal marks, tie-breaking is done based on local status (Telangana locals first), then date of birth (elder candidate gets higher rank), then marks in subject paper, then date of passing qualifying examination, then percentage in qualifying examination, then higher qualification.
- 10Normalization: Scores will be normalized for multi-session CBRT examinations using the Commission’s normalization formula.
- 11Medical Fitness: Appointment of selected candidates is subject to being found medically fit in the appropriate Medical Examination.
Application guide
How to apply
- Visit the TGPSC website at https://www.tgpsc.gov.in and register via One Time Registration (OTR) to obtain a TGPSC ID (if not already registered).
- Login to the Commission’s website using your registered OTR/TGPSC ID and Date of Birth, then authenticate via OTP received on your registered mobile number.
- Verify personal details fetched from OTR database (Name, Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, Community, Gender, Disability, Ex-Servicemen & Sports, etc.).
- Select the preferred examination centre.
- Preview the application for correctness and click on SAVE & PAYMENT button.
- Pay the prescribed application processing fee and examination fee online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
- After payment, download the generated PDF application form and retain the Reference ID Number for future correspondence.
