Selection process

  1. 1Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written examination conducted by UPPSC at various centers in Uttar Pradesh.
  2. 2The examination will be objective type with OMR Answer Sheets (Black Ball Point Pen only).
  3. 3Negative Marking: One-third (0.33) of marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  4. 4Minimum efficiency standard: 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for all other category candidates.
  5. 5Candidates serving under Central or State Government must produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer.
  6. 6Selected candidates will have to undergo Medical Examination as required under the Rules.
  7. 7Document verification will be conducted as per Commission’s instructions.
  8. 8Research Scholars of Chief Minister Fellowship Programme will be given weightage in marks as per prescribed rules.

How to apply

  1. Candidates must complete One Time Registration (O.T.R.) and obtain O.T.R. number from https://otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before submission of online application.
  2. Visit the official website https://uppsc.up.nic.in and click on ‘ALL NOTIFICATIONS/ADVERTISEMENTS’.
  3. Click on ‘Apply’ for the desired post and authenticate with O.T.R. number via OTP or O.T.R. password.
  4. Complete Stage 1: Fill in essential qualification details as required for the post.
  5. Complete Stage 2: Fill in permanent and correspondence address and choose Yes/No against each preferential qualification on the Applicant Dashboard.
  6. Complete Stage 3: Pay the prescribed examination fee via SBI MOPS (Net Banking, Card Payments, or Other Payment Modes) and take a print of the Payment Transaction Slip.
  7. Complete Stage 4: Take a print of the final submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  8. Candidates may modify qualifications once till the last date for correction/modification via ‘Candidate Dashboard Login’.
Documents and additional conditions

Total Vacancies: 37 posts across three examinations (Architectural Assistant: 14, Estate Manager: 11, Microbiologist: 12). Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on July 1, 2026. Maximum age 55 years for PH candidates. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Skilled Players/State Govt. Employees of UP; 15 years for physically handicapped persons of UP; 3 years + service period for Ex-Army personnel of UP. OTR Mandatory: One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before applying. OTR number must be obtained at least 72 hours before submission of online application from https://otr.pariksha.nic.in. Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Freedom Fighters/Female/Ex-Servicemen/PH of UP as per relevant Government Rules. Candidates not originally domicile of UP are not entitled to reservation/age relaxation benefits. Marital Status: Male candidates with more than one wife living and female candidates who have married a person already having a wife are not eligible unless exempted by the Governor. Date of Birth Proof: High School Certificate is the only acceptable proof of date of birth. Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33) marks deducted for each wrong answer in objective type papers. OMR Answer Sheet: Three copies – Original (Pink), Preserved (Green), and Candidate’s copy (Blue). Candidate retains the Blue copy. Debarment: Candidates found submitting forged documents will be debarred from all UPPSC selections forever and action under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will be taken. Chief Minister Fellowship Weightage: Research Scholars of CM Fellowship Programme get age relaxation up to 3 years and marks weightage as per prescribed table. UP Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 dated August 6, 2024 is applicable for these examinations. No hard copy of documents/application should be sent to the Commission at the preliminary examination stage.
