Selection process
- 1Selection will be made through Interview only OR through Written Examination and Interview, depending on the number of applications received.
- 2If the number of applications is large, a Written Examination will be conducted followed by an Interview. The exam scheme and syllabus will be published separately.
- 3The examination center will be Raipur. Centers may be increased or decreased based on the number of applications received.
- 4The Commission may conduct a Computer Based Test (CBT) instead of a conventional examination, considering the number of candidates.
- 5If only an Interview is conducted: Interview will be of 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 33 marks for General/UR
- 623 marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- 7The selection process will be subject to the final order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP(C) No. 19668/2022 and the final judgment of the Hon’ble High Court in WPS 4723/2015 and WPS 1995/2017.
- 8Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, Women, and Ex-Servicemen will be as per State Government rules.

How to apply
- Visit the official website www.psc.cg.gov.in and click on the active application link available during the notified dates.
- New applicants must complete Candidate Registration by entering name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, and identity proof ID number, then click ‘Generate OTP’.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and email ID.
- Upload a live photo using the link sent to your registered mobile number (ensure face is clear, both ears visible, eyes open, light-colored background).
- Upload your signature (sign on white paper with black ballpoint pen, scan as .JPG file, max 100 KB).
- After uploading photo and signature, click ‘Save’ and then click ‘Apply’ for the advertised post from your dashboard.
- Fill in all required details carefully in the online application form.
- Pay the application fee and portal charges online using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or other available modes.
- After successful payment, download and print the application receipt and payment receipt for future reference.
- Ensure Application Status shows ‘Submitted’ and Payment Status shows ‘Paid’ on the acknowledgment page.
- Previously registered candidates can log in using their existing Login ID and Password.

Other Important Information: Probation Period: Selected candidates will be appointed on probation for 3 years. Service Category: Gazetted – First Class (Rajpatrit – Pratham Shreni). Department: Public Health and Family Welfare Department, Chhattisgarh Government. Disability (PwD) Eligibility: Only Chhattisgarh local residents with OA (One Arm) or OL (One Leg) disability categories are eligible. Other disability categories are not eligible to apply. Vacancy Numbers: The number of vacancies may change until the last date of online application. Final vacancies may change upon receipt of revised requisition from the department. Error Correction: Free error correction is allowed once online from 20/08/2026 (12:00 PM) to 22/08/2026 (11:59 PM). Paid error correction (Rs. 500/-) is allowed once online from 23/08/2026 (12:00 PM) to 25/08/2026 (11:59 PM). During paid error correction, candidates can only correct: Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Domicile, Disability, and Ex-Serviceman entries. Fee Refund: Examination fee will be refunded to Chhattisgarh local residents who appear in the examination/interview. Portal charges, error correction fees, and service taxes are non-refundable. Documents Required at Interview: Self-attested or Gazetted Officer attested copies of: High School/Matriculation certificate (for age proof), all semester/year marksheets, educational qualification certificates, registration certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate (for OBC non-creamy layer, issued within last 3 years from interview date), domicile certificate, disability certificate (if applicable), ex-serviceman certificate (if applicable), NOC from employer (if currently employed). Disqualifications: Candidates with more than one living spouse, those convicted of crimes against women, those who married before the minimum legal age, or those found medically unfit are not eligible for appointment. Criminal Prosecution: Candidates found guilty of impersonation, submitting forged documents, using unfair means, or misbehavior during examination/interview will face cancellation of candidature and may be debarred from future examinations. Age Relaxation for CG Local Residents: As per CG GAD circular dated 18.01.2024, the 5-year age relaxation for CG local residents has been extended from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2028. Maximum age with all relaxations combined shall not exceed 45 years. Admit Card/Interview Call Letter: Will be uploaded on the official website approximately 10 days before the exam/interview. No individual intimation will be sent. Candidates must carry a valid photo ID (Voter ID/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Aadhaar Card) along with the admit card. Travel Allowance: Unemployed SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) local residents of Chhattisgarh who are not in any service will be reimbursed actual ordinary class train/bus fare for attending the exam/interview, subject to conditions. Re-evaluation: There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheets in the Commission’s examination system. Marks List: Marks obtained in written examination and interview will be published only after the final selection list for the advertised posts is released.
