Other Important Information: Nature of Appointment: Purely on contractual basis for 11 months initially. The contract may be extended up to the age of 60 years or till NHM continues, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds. Total Vacancies: 450 (subject to change based on roster approval from Health Department). Registration Requirement: Candidates must be registered with Bihar Council of Medical Registration (BCMR), Patna, Bihar or Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) before joining. Candidates not yet registered must submit an affidavit at the time of document verification and submit the registration certificate before joining. Reservation: Reservation benefits are available only to permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar are not eligible for reservation benefits. Horizontal reservation of 35% is applicable for women (permanent residents of Bihar, both reserved and unreserved categories). 18% horizontal reservation for PwD (benchmark disability, permanent residents of Bihar) as per applicable rules. Posting Preference: Candidates can indicate up to 3 preferred districts for posting in the online application. Final posting decision rests entirely with State Health Society, Bihar. Contractual Employees: Persons appointed on contract basis will not be considered government employees. No claim for regularization will be entertained. No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid for document verification/counselling.
