- 1Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on the eligibility conditions prescribed in the notification.
- 2A Driving Test will be conducted to assess the competence to drive Light and Heavy Motor Vehicles.
- 3A Trade Test will also be carried out as per the pattern/syllabus prescribed vide Directorate letter No. F.No.08-01/2019-SPN-I dated 17.06.2022.
- 4Final selection will be based on merit list prepared after the driving and trade tests.
- 5The competent authority reserves the right to allot the division on the basis of the merit list.

How to apply
- Application must be submitted in duplicate in the prescribed Proforma (Annexure-I) only.
- Applications must be forwarded through proper channel (Head of Office/Forwarding Authority) along with the certificate in Proforma Annexure-II.
- The following documents must be enclosed: (i) Integrity Certificate, (ii) List of major/minor penalties imposed during last 10 years (or NIL certificate), (iii) Vigilance Clearance Certificate, (iv) Attested photocopies of APAR for last 5 years (2020-2021 to 2024-2025), (v) Experience certificate for driving LMV & HMV for 3 years attested by Gazetted Officer, (vi) Valid Driving License for LMV and HMV attested by Gazetted Officer, (vii) 10th standard certificate attested by Gazetted Officer.
- Send application by Speed Post only to: The Manager, Mail Motor Service, No. 4, Basaveshwara Road, Vasanthanagar, Bengaluru-560001.
- Applications not forwarded through proper channel or received without requisite certificates/documents will not be entertained.
- Applications without complete information or requisite documents will be rejected outright without any notice.
- Candidates who apply will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.
- Application must reach within 60 days from the date of publication of notification in Employment News.
Documents and additional conditions
Recruitment Type: Deputation/Absorption (Department of Posts, failing which other Central Government Ministries) or Re-employment of Armed Forces Personnel. Period of Deputation: Ordinarily not exceeding 3 years (including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment). Period of Probation: Two years for re-employed candidates. Reservation: No provisions for reservation exist for posts filled on deputation/absorption basis. Armed Forces Personnel: Personnel due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within one year with requisite qualifications shall also be considered. They will be given deputation terms up to the date of release from armed forces, thereafter may be continued on re-employment. Vacancy Change: The vacancies and divisions notified are subject to change; the competent authority reserves the right to allot divisions based on merit list. Withdrawal: Candidates who apply will NOT be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently. Discrepancy: In case of any discrepancy, the English version of the notification shall be treated as final.
