  1. 1Physical Test: Consisting of Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), conducted by Himachal Pradesh Police Department. Marks awarded for Height (up to 6 marks). PET is qualifying in nature. 800 Meters Race: 3 Minutes 45 Seconds (no additional attempt) High Jump: Minimum 1.10 Meter (maximum 3 attempts) 100 Meters Race: 17 Seconds (no additional attempt) Broad Jump: 3 Meters (maximum 3 attempts)
  2. 2800 Meters Race: 3 Minutes 45 Seconds (no additional attempt)
  3. 3High Jump: Minimum 1.10 Meter (maximum 3 attempts)
  4. 4100 Meters Race: 17 Seconds (no additional attempt)
  5. 5Broad Jump: 3 Meters (maximum 3 attempts)
  6. 6Written Test: Offline multiple choice objective type written examination of 2 hours duration, 90 marks, 90 MCQs with negative marking (0.25 per wrong answer). Bilingual (English & Hindi). Conducted by HPPSC.
  7. 7Document Verification: Conducted by HP Police Department for candidates shortlisted as per zone of consideration. NCC Certificate marks awarded during document verification (NCC ‘C’ = 4 marks, NCC ‘B’ = 2 marks, NCC ‘A’ = 1 mark).
  8. 8Medical Examination: Conducted by Himachal Pradesh Police Department after receiving recommendations from HPPSC.
  9. 9Final Merit List: Based on Written Test (90 marks) + Height (6 marks) + NCC Certificate (4 marks) = 100 marks. No candidate securing zero or negative marks in written examination shall be included in the merit list.
